Our Afternoon Drive DJ is also our VP! David comes from a very long and distinguished radio career. Starting in 1976 in Canton, Ohio David quickly rose up the Market Ranks to Akron then Cleveland, where he was the youngest FULLTIME DJ on the air in the City! He was then tapped to be Program Director at a 50,000 watt station in Charleston, SC. Shortly after, he was recruited to be the MIDDAY DJ on a brand-new TOP 40 Station in Boston, MA!

After working in Major Market radio for most of his career, he decided to “go West.” So, he chose a place of beauty, unbeatable weather conditions, great food & wine and plenty of GOLF COURSES! The Monterey Peninsula. David was immediately hired as Program Director and Morning Drive DJ at KOCN 105fm. He stayed there for 11 years. During the time David was at KOCN “OLDIES 105”, the station held the #1 spot in the Arbitron Ratings book. A feat David is still very proud of.

For the last 20+ years, David has hosted the very popular SHAGBAG SHOW that airs via remote from Del Monte Golf Course every Saturday on KMBY. He is also the host of SUNDAYS with SINATRA on KMBY that broadcasts the last 2 hours (10a-NOON) LIVE from Old Fisherman’s Grotto on the Wharf!

David is highly regarded as “Monterey’s Emcee” as he hosts dozens of local events each year. Congressman Jimmy Panetta calls David the “VOICE OF MONTEREY”. Besides all that, David holds down the 3-6pm AFTERNOON DRIVE slot on KMBY!
